Baked Feta Pasta With Chicken Recipe Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make Baked Feta Chicken Pasta. The below is an overview of ingredients and steps – see the recipe card below for all the details!
Salty baked feta, sweet cherry tomatoes, fresh garlic, and basil are tossed with al dente pasta to create this easy yet delicious dish.
• Chicken – two boneless skinless chicken breasts
• Feta cheese –I use a block, but crumbled feta will work just as well!
• Cherry tomatoes – about 20 ounces
• Garlic – I used 5-6 large cloves. Use more or less depending on your taste! Fresh garlic is highly recommended for the flavor!
• Olive oil
• Kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, and dried oregano
• Fresh parsley – you can use fresh basil, to stir into the sauce and garnish
• Pasta –8 ounces, Pretty much any pasta shape will work here.
To get started with this recipe I put a pot of water on to boil and then cooked the pasta according to the back of the package.
As the water was boiling for the pasta, I prepared the tomatoes and feta cheese.
In a 9×13 baking dish, I added olive oil, chicken, tomatoes, garlic, parsley, and feta cheese.
Then add some kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, and dried oregano to taste.
If you have leftovers after making Baked Feta Chicken, then it is your lucky day! They save and reheat well, and can make the start of another delicious dish.
To save leftovers, separate into meal-sized portions and then place in an airtight container and store:
• in the refrigerator for 3-4 days
• in the freezer for up to a month
CAN YOU MAKE FETA CHEESE PASTA WITH FETA CRUMBLES?
The recipe will work with crumbled feta, but it’ll definitely yield a less creamy, melty texture. For best results, we definitely recommend using a block of feta if possible!

kcalIngredients
1-2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
8 oz feta cheese, block
16 oz cherry tomatoes
5-6 cloves garlic
⅓ cup olive oil
1 tsp oregano
½ tsp kosher salt
¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
¼ cup thinly sliced fresh parsley leaves
8 oz pasta
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Prep the sauce: Place the feta block in a 9×13-inch casserole dish then surround it with the chicken, cherry tomatoes, and garlic. Drizzle the olive oil all over the sliced chicken, tomatoes and feta cheese then season with salt, pepper, and oregano.
- Pop the dish in the oven and bake for 35 minutes or until the feta is soft and tomatoes are bursting.
- Cook the pasta: Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, about 10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining the pasta.
- Mix it all together: Using a spatula, press down on the feta cheese to break it down and make it creamy; then stir everything together until completely combined. For a creamier pasta, stir desired amount of reserved pasta water ¼ cup at a time until reaches desired consistency.
- Serve: Serve this pasta while it’s hot, garnished with some freshly grated Parmesan cheese if preferred.
